the taste of OKONO-MIYAKI
As We really love food, we (Me and some friends) gather together on Friday to try an unknown food that we hadn't tried before. at the beginning we didnt know where we could go and there was a lot of suggestion, so finally we decided to go to Okonomi House Restaurant on which we heard that they have this plate calls OKONOMIYAKI. We got there and we saw almost everybody eating this plate and also there was a guy making the food just in front of the tables. on the menu there were different kind of this plate (Sea food, bacon, chicken, beef and more) so we ordered some of them.
BY THE WAY WHAT`S OKONOMIYAKI?
Its a delicious Japanese pancake that contains some ingredients and there are some types of okonomiyaki. I did some research and found that the name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked" .
Well as i was talking before, we ordered and it really looks like a pancake which amazed us because how very different cultures can have almost the same type of food, but actually this wasn't a breakfast plate because we had it at 6 pm.
TASTE
The taste was a combination between salty and sweet, when we taste the first time it was really good, the sea food one was the best. it had 2 toppings on the top such as mayonnaise and BBQ sauce.
it really smelt like a grilled food, the smell was really good and the taste even though was kind of common for me was amazing because i hadn't tried with so much stuff on it.
The flavor was very similar to a pancake but even though was unique because it was all the ingredients inside of the pancake.
CONCLUSION
i learn too much about of this plate, first of all that we can see the plate that you are used to in the country you less expect you can find it. Secondly, i did enjoy it because was something new to me and as i had that expectation before i will eat it again because i love pancakes that's one of my favorite breakfast. To conclude this topic, this change my point of view of breakfasts on where i can combine a lot of ingredients and eat it anytime, it doesn't have to be on breakfast.
